The three of us finished in about 25 minutes—not because we’re geniuses, but because there aren’t many puzzles and they’re mostly samey, all about codes. The actor tried, but the setup was odd: the door was open, we had to wait for the host, the rules were delivered in a tired voice, then more waiting. It’s more for those who’ve already seen it all and just want a mild thrill.

No one hit us, there were no stun guns, we discussed boundaries in advance and they were respected during the game. It was genuinely scary; I screamed like a schoolkid a couple of times—solid 10 out of 10 for me.

We chose the no-shock mode, but they still turned it on and we got zapped once—“light, for the plot.” There was no intro/backstory, and after we finished the administrator showed no interest in collecting feedback. We left disappointed.

Several games were running in parallel; there were clearly not enough actors, and at one point participants from another team walked into our room. For most of the time there was only one actor; the second appeared briefly. I wouldn’t recommend spending your time and money on this.
