Really didn’t work for me: boring and at times irritating. The lock in the polar explorer’s room kept sticking; the second turn wouldn’t go without help. The lighting was dim, one flashlight for everyone, and the blinking lamp only got in the way. Overall it’s interesting, but there are safety concerns. In some places nails are sticking out and the boards are wobbly; at one point I seriously injured my hand. The admin quickly helped with first aid, but they said this had happened before and they don’t plan to change anything — that was disappointing.

Fantastic transitions between rooms—wow! Climbing, crawling, pulling levers—I haven’t had this much fun in ages, and it all makes sense. The cold atmosphere works a hundred percent; the music and the sound of the wind add real energy. The host, Leonid, offered gentle help only when we asked.

Unfortunately, organizational and technical issues spoiled the impression. We had to wait a long time for the start; there was outside noise in the waiting room, the walkie-talkie was picking up interference, some mechanics were freezing up, and the administrator came in twice to fix things. The quest was great, but the service fell short. We were greeted without much engagement; they accepted only cash, and you can inadvertently see the operator’s screen. The story was told monotonously, and after the game there was neither a debrief nor any feedback. I liked being able to return to previous rooms and the overall pace of the puzzles, but the props are worn out: drawer handles are broken, and the flashlights kept failing. The final area is small and doesn’t really land—we expected a more striking finale.

“Polar Station” grabbed us from the very first minutes: snow, wind, the details — you can feel the care put into every inch. The transitions are very unusual, and there’s tons of interactivity. All the puzzles are logical, though we got stuck for quite a while in the first room. Hints were given tactfully.

We do escape rooms often and didn’t expect this level. One of the best non-scary rooms in the city: the puzzles are logical yet make you think, and the interactivity is a real highlight. The set design makes it feel like you’re really at a station.

The atmosphere was great, but the tech let us down: one lock kept jamming, and we spent a long time thinking the code was wrong.
