Inquisitor's Dungeon

Inquisitor Aurelius, infamously known for his cruelty as the Hammer of the Lord, was as unyielding and cold as the steel of his sword. He burned heretics without harboring any doubt, only seeing it as the purifying fire of faith. But everything changed when he crossed paths with Elina, a girl with hair as black as a raven's wing and eyes filled with a pagan fire. Her beauty and her wild faith in the ancient gods captivated Aurelius. He tried to convert her to the true faith, but her words about harmony with nature and freedom of the spirit planted seeds of doubt in his soul. The inquisitor’s love for the pagan woman did not remain a secret. When the Church learned of his fall into sin, they condemned Elina to be burned. Unable to resist the Church's will, Aurelius watched as the fire consumed his beloved. Despair and rage filled his heart. The Hammer of the Lord shattered that day, and from its shards emerged a man consumed by the idea of resurrection. Aurelius delved into forbidden texts, seeking a way to bring Elina back. He learned about ancient rituals, demanding the terrible price of human sacrifices. Darkness consumed his soul, and the one who was once a tool of faith became its worst nightmare. He kidnapped people and sacrificed them on the altar of his insane love. But Elina did not return. With each new murder, Aurelius lost more of his humanity, turning into a monster obsessed with the ghost of his love. He sought salvation in darkness but only found the eternal curse of living with the realization that love had led him to madness, turning him into the very evil he once fought against.
