Some of the eyewitnesses even claimed that an entire group had indeed settled in the basement of the former food block. Some called them freaks, some cannibals... One case of a mysterious disappearance in this place was brutally refuted by the local media. After which, the police ceased to see a connection between the incidents at the food block and the recent disappearances. The burnt basement of the food block on Vesennaya street became a genuine legend in Tyumen. More and more people came there to check if there was really someone there. Some even claimed they saw strange shadows and heard anguished screams when passing by the building's basement. Despite the fact that the police saw no connection between this place and the disappearances of people, many residents of the city continued to worry. The abandoned food block became a notable place for those seeking adventure and fear. Some people even claim that they saw ghosts and heard inexplicable sounds around the building. But regardless of what's happening inside, local residents still fear this place and advise other people to stay as far away from it as possible. In May 2023, the local authorities put the basement up for sale at an attractive price, hoping that it would find a new owner.
