Think like a criminal

You are private detectives who are investigating a series of murders of girls. One of the clues leads to an old hotel, where you are met by the manager who, upon learning who you are, informs you that a suspicious man is living in room 207. You want to talk to him, see a slightly open door, but there is no one inside. You decide to search the room, but right after the last detective, the door slams shut and locks from the outside. You will have an hour to escape from this trap.
