In 1923, the Campbell brothers founded a huge, expensive hotel in the heart of Chicago. The hotel quickly gained popularity. For a long time, it brought in a large profit and was a popular place among wealthy and influential people. But after a few years of its existence, it gained a bad reputation. People began to complain about mysterious sounds: creaks, rustles, and whispers coming from the corridors and walls. Later, this place gained fame with the strange disappearances of guests. The disappearances were attempted to be investigated, but the police couldn't find any traces of crime, nor the missing persons or their bodies. The case was closed. You are tourists who have come to see a foreign city and for a while forget about all the problems and worries of everyday life. The hotel enticed you with its convenient location, its magnificence, and, to your surprise, affordable prices. Can you spend your last night within the walls of this hotel?

The plot is well thought out, the acting is outstanding, and the costumes are impressive—especially the maid’s. The setting is detailed, clean, and believable, and the manager laid everything out clearly. It was scary and very engaging; I highly recommend it.

This quest turned out to be the most emotional: fear didn’t let go until the very last seconds. Actors Denis and Sergey immerse you in the story, and administrator Roman carefully guides the process. The sets and sound design are crafted so well that you believe every step.

The atmosphere starts even before you step inside, and once you’re in, the actors carry on a live dialogue and handle unexpected questions. The tasks are interesting, and in the finale we had to decide who to trust — a brilliant touch. A whirlwind of emotions — thanks to the team!

The ambience feels like a real hotel: carpets, corridors, signs—and goosebumps. The actors talk to you with purpose, and it’s through the dialogues that you figure out what’s going on. The ending was surprising; I want to come back to make a different choice.

Matvey and Sergey are great at jangling the nerves, and cinematographer Roman has conjured the atmosphere of a genuinely gloomy hotel. Ominous imagery, subdued lighting, and potent sound design together make for a very strong horror experience.

The atmosphere and actors were superb, but for us as avid escape-room fans, the puzzles felt a bit too few and we would have liked it to last longer. That said, they served up adrenaline in spades—I didn't regret a single minute.
