About the escape room

Chapter I. Valak Romania, 1933. Horezu Monastery. An 18-year-old nun is taking her own life. The Vatican throws all its forces into the investigation of this horrific case. Only one thing is clear: they are faced with a sinister force that has taken the form of a demonic nun. Its name is Valak! Chapter II. The House From 1952 to 2006, this house was inhabited by the famous demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. After Ed's death, Lorraine left the house because something strange began to happen there. A young girl slit her wrists in one of the rooms, and the following year, a hanged police captain was found in another room. Chapter III. Annabelle Present day. It is rumored that the bloodthirsty Annabelle doll from the Warrens' museum has broken free. Since these events, people have been avoiding the house. You are the next ones who dared to enter it again...

The quest is great: the mechanisms don’t bug out, the tasks are clear and not childish, the story is cohesive, and there are plenty of scares. But the lobby looks odd, in the first room there’s a noticeable gap in the door, and the snack table is too small. We’re thrilled anyway; we’d just like these little things to be polished.

The quest keeps you on your toes from the very first step: the puzzles are just right, the locations are atmospheric, and the actors are spot-on. A particular 'zap' moment scared us more than any jumpscare. Probably one of the evening’s standout moments.

Before the game we were asked not to run, but during it we were still being urged on — as a result there were a couple of falls and one unpleasant hit against a protruding edge. Otherwise, the quest is interesting, but they should pay closer attention to safety, especially when children are participating.
