About the escape room

California, 1994 You're a group of tourists traveling through California in search of local attractions. One evening, during a tour of the dense forest on the outskirts of the town of Willow Creek, you noticed an abandoned farmhouse standing next to a lake away from the trail. Its slanted appearance and ominous aura immediately caught your attention, but you couldn't bring yourself to enter it at night. Upon returning to the town, you began to ask the locals about the house. Many refused to talk and tell anything, but you did hear a story about a family that lived there, strange disappearances of locals, and rumors. Someone laughed it off, calling it an old legend for tourists, but the stories contained strange details that made you think: if it was just a yarn, why did they talk about it so nervously? Intrigue and a thirst for adventure prevailed, and the next day you and your group set off to this house. Welcome to the Lancaster's house.

This is the best horror performance I’ve ever attended. The oppressive atmosphere hits from the very first minute; the actors don’t just scare you—they ratchet up a primal terror that makes you want to turn on the lights in every room. We walked out hoarse and exhausted, but with the feeling that we’d survived a real nightmare. If you want to be truly scared, go for it.

We go to a lot of escape rooms and were left disappointed. It felt like we spent half the time standing in the dark with nothing to do; the room felt dirty and had an unpleasant smell, and the physical contact in hard mode was too rough and at times unsafe; plus there was confusion with communicating the change in difficulty level. Immersion starts on the way there, and the game kicks off literally at the doorstep. The fear level is off the charts; my friend had a meltdown because of Bobby. The location is huge and safe, the puzzles are interesting, but the adrenaline makes it hard to think. Sound and lighting work wonders—here they’ll kill you not physically, but morally. The first quest where I was genuinely scared.

The quest was enjoyable; the venue is spacious—even the scent was memorable. The puzzles aren’t difficult and are fresh in places; the one-on-ones really landed, and safety was excellent. Among the actors, Sophie stood out the most, while Bobby and Katie left mixed feelings—as if there wasn’t enough depth. We’d like to come back when the main cast is on to form a final opinion.

The hour flew by in no time; I really liked that you can talk with the actors after the game. The only thing is, I’d like more lore: materials, tapes, or creepy finds to ratchet up the atmosphere even more. Otherwise—awesome.

From the very start they threw me into the story and didn’t let go until the end. The actors were on fire, the scenes were downright cinematic, the one-on-one segment gave me goosebumps, and the sound and lighting ramp up the fear like crazy. I’ll be back with friends for hard mode.

We went as a family with our teenagers to the Medium show. It was scary but safe; everyone had their own scene, and afterwards we had a great chat with the actors. Excellent experience!
