You are investigative journalists who have received an anonymous letter about monstrous experiments being conducted at the distant Mount Massive psychiatric clinic. You were warned that behind the walls of this complex lie things better left unknown. But professional curiosity proved stronger. The road to the mountains was long and grim. The closer you got to the asylum, the more you felt the anxiety: dark silhouettes of buildings, blind windows, and absolute silence, as if the place itself had died. Inside, however... it turned out to be much more "alive" than you would have liked. Once, people were treated here. Now, the doctors' mutilated experiments have turned patients into monsters, and the walls into a prison of fear. Scientific experiments to create the so-called Walrider—a nanite entity feeding on mental madness—have spiraled out of control. Those who survived became mere shells. You came here for the truth. But the only truth you will have to learn is that Mount Massive lets no one leave alive.
