Evil: realm of darkness

There are places in the world that exist in defiance of common sense and the laws of physics. One such place is very close to you, in an old abandoned house in the depths of a dark forest. Hereditary shamans believed that it is here that an anomalous rift exists between the worlds of the living and the dead, which can only be held back by a rare artifact, guarded by the community for centuries. Alas, not all servants of the spirit cult used the artifact for good purposes... Besotted with the idea of taming the element of fire, one of the shamans stole and brought the sacred relic as a gift to the demons to secure their assistance. Since then, the artifact has been securely locked in a dark chest, damping down its anti-demonic properties. The other members of the community have repeatedly tried to return the protection to our world, but all of them have perished. Only one survivor remains in voluntary confinement within the walls of the cursed house, waiting for the chosen ones from his vision to arrive at the right time and stop the invasion of demons into the world of man...
