For many years human and animal test subjects became part of horrific experiments whose results far exceeded any acceptable limits. The laboratories produced anomalous creatures — living proof that science can become a dangerous tool. After one fatal mistake, these creations were set loose, if only within the confines of the complex known as the "Hive." Control of the situation was immediately seized by the Red Queen — an artificial intelligence that managed the security systems. It sealed the exits, isolated the facility and condemned the staff to their fate, guided by its own threat-prevention algorithms. Decades after the tragic events, Umbrella decided to bring the site back to life. The complex, long plunged into silence, is reopening its doors for restoration and decontamination. Once hundreds of employees worked here, shaping the corporation’s future.
