For many years, the Star Institute for the Rehabilitation of Mental Disorders secretly conducted experiments on human consciousness. Case No. 16 is now open: Adam, a young test subject accused of murdering his younger sister, was found at the crime scene paralyzed and having lost the ability to speak. The last thing his lips whispered: "I didn't kill her". Adam was placed in Paranoid – a machine that creates a new reality from fragments of memory. But the experiment got out of control: the subconscious fiercely rejected all attempts at penetration, killing everyone who tried to get to the truth.
